Pacific Crest Trail Hike
Carson, WA
September 3rd, 2006

10 mile Day Hike.

This hike will be done on a section of the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) in the beautiful Gifford Pinchot National Forest and will include a loop trail (Whistle Punk Trail #59), an interpretive trail that tells the story of forest management from a historical perspective.

The hike will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the intersection of Forest Road #68 and the PCT, north of Carson, WA. Lunch will be provided at the end of the hike.  All participants will practice LNT (Leave No Trace) hiking.

To make reservations at the Panther Creek Campground: Campsites on the Gifford Pinchot National Forest are available for advanced reservation through the National Recreation Reservation Service or Call Toll Free 1-877-444-6777. Note that this is a holiday weekend, so if you want to camp, you should make a reservation soon.

Entry Fees:

$15 per dog for CGSMDC Members
$20 per dog for Non-Members

Dogs are required to be weighed by the handlers' veterinarian office staff within 7 days of the hike date.  The handler must provide, on  veterinarian office stationary, the dog's name, weight, date and staff signature prior to the start of the hike.
